Breathing Rhythms
How does line breathing work?
With Line Breathing, you follow a simple and smooth breathing pattern, such as:
• Inhale for X seconds
• Exhale for X seconds
There is no pause between the phases – you breathe in and immediately out in a calm, steady flow.
How does triangle breathing work?
With Triangle Breathing, you breathe in a pattern of three parts:
• Inhale for X seconds
• Hold for X seconds
• Exhale for X seconds
Just like the sides of a triangle, these three phases are in balance.
How does box breathing work?
With Box Breathing, you follow a steady breathing rhythm made up of four equal phases:
• Inhale for X seconds
• Hold for X seconds
• Exhale for X seconds
• Hold for X seconds
